Acupuncture is Effective for Carpal Tunnel Pain

In a study just published in the Clinical Journal of Pain, acupuncture received the thumbs up as an effective treatment for Carpal Tunnel pain.  In the study, acupuncture was found to be as effective as the steroid prednisone for pain, and acupuncture performed better in restoring  motor function and for nighttime waking. 

This is good news, especially if you’re familiar with the heat, irriribility, and insomnia that are common side effects of prednisone.  Read the article, here.
